Claude Forthomme: A Columbia University graduate, Claude is an economist with a 25 year career at the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), starting as a project evaluation specialist and ending as FAO Regional Representative for Europe and Central Asia. Since 2004, she is a delegate of the Order of Malta to FAO, World Food Programme and IFAD. Before her UN experience, she had worked in banking, publishing, journalism, marketing, and was a lecturer in economics (Washington U.).

She has contributed to Publishing Perspectives and several other online publications and is currently Senior Editor and columnist at Impakter, a magazine for millennials with a unique section on the United Nations and the Sustainable Development Goals (Global Goals).

She has also written fiction, in Italian under the pen name Claude Bonanno and in English as Claude Nougat (books available on Amazon). Following in the footsteps of her mother, Simone Ruyters, a successful portraitist in New York in the 1960's, Claude also paints and is a member of Artistes Indépendants (Paris). She has participated in numerous shows in Paris and Rome.
